Why a Logo?

Here is my response to that question.
Take a look at these logos and see if you can tell who they are.  The name of each company is intentionally left off the recreation of each logo.

Did you recognize any of these?  How can you tell who they are?  Logos are more than just words.  A logo is an image that gets burned into your memory.  Not only is the shape committed to memory, but the colors as well.  Even if you dont have products or services that come from the above companies, you probably know who at least 3 of the 4 companies are, because of exposure.  That is what someone who is looking into purchasing a logo should remember.  A logo becomes the identity of your company, and will leave a lasting impression to all who see it.  My goal as a designer is to work with you, and come up with the logo that fits both your taste and appeal, but also has that X factor that will grab the attention of the public and make your image the one they recognize because it gets burned into their memory.  Then when they are looking for a product or service that you can offer, they remember you, and know just where to go to get it!  Check out my Design Work to see some of the work I have done.

Just to make sure I dont leave someone hanging, the companies are from top left to right #1 Sonic Drive In, #2 EbaY, #3 TiVo, #4 Pizza Hut.
