My name is Jason Mong. I founded 4 Runner Logo & Design in July 2007. I am a self-taught designer. I started playing with Adobe Illustrator 10 when I was working for a church doing the monthly newsletter. I realized I had a real interest in the creation of custom logos and graphic design. After some people had seen my work, I started to sell a few logos on the side. It was more a hobby than anything. As I would drive around town, I would notice a real need for updates in peoples design work on signs, store-front stickers, and logos. Some companies didn’t even have a logo. That was my inspiration to start a company that could bring those already solid companies, into the 21st century in the area of design.
When you meet a person you can learn some things rather quickly about them. How they present themselves and the impression they make sticks “most” of the time. The old saying, “A first impression, is a lasting impression” hits the nail on the head. The same is true when people are driving down the road and they see a sign that is outdated, faded, and falling apart. What impression did they just get about the business? I would immediately assume the store and possibly the products inside are about the same quality. On the other hand, what do you think when you see a nice building, 21st century signage, and a logo that is colorful, dimensional, and catchy? It makes an impression as well. It stirs interest, causing those people to want to check out your store, even if they are not sure what products or services that you offer.
